Ms. Alexander will be responsible for leading SFAA’s government affairs program for the contract surety, commercial surety, and fidelity lines of business.

“With over two decades of experience in the insurance industry and deep knowledge of how to successfully navigate the legislative and regulatory processes in different states across the country, Lee Ann brings tremendous expertise and leadership skills to SFAA’s efforts to achieve our members’ strategic advocacy priorities,” says SFAA President and CEO Lee Covington. “Lee Ann’s government relations, legal and business experience, together with her enthusiasm for achieving SFAA’s goals and serving our members, ideally position her to lead SFAA’s work on our advocacy priorities.”

“I am honored and thrilled to join the SFAA team.  Lee Covington’s strategic vision and enthusiasm for the Association and surety industry are inspiring. Under his leadership, it will be my great pleasure to work with SFAA’s members and other stakeholders to chart a public policy course for the future of the industry. I look forward to serving the surety community,” says Lee Ann Alexander.
