Colorado Bill to Require Bonding for P3s Considered but not Enacted This Year

Colorado HB 1383 would have revised the existing law to require bonding for public private partnerships (P3s). The bill specified that the bonding requirements for state and local public works projects apply to all construction contracts situated or located on public real property using public or private money, public or private financing, or public real property. The bill would have exempted exempt wildlife habitat projects. The bill passed the House, but failed to pass out of committee in the Senate.
