Mentoring Quick Guide available for Members

Monday, May 9, 2016

The Mentoring Quick Guide was developed by the SFAA Diversity & Human Resources Advisory Committee, Learning & Development Work Group. This quick guide is a follow-up and “bridge” to the Surety & Fidelity Industry Diversity & Inclusion Strategy Toolkit

The Mentoring Quick Guide shows how mentoring:

  • retains key employees
  • supports diversity strategies
  • influences knowledge sharing
  • promotes relationship building
  • increases employee engagement
  • and is a leadership building tool

For a multigenerational workforce, the Mentoring Quick Guide points out that organizations might position mentoring as a tool where employees can engage in learning relationships of varying types, from more traditional ones focused on career development to large groups discussing best practices for a specific topic.
