SFAA & NASBP Seek Bonding for Aviation P3 Projects in Federal Legislation

S. 1320 include a provision that would allow general aviation (small) airport to use public-private partnerships (P3s) program to improve their facilities. The federal assistance that can be awarded any airport under S. 1320 is limited to $500,000, and priority will be given to projects in which the local community will provide a portion of the funding, and for projects that will use best practices in developing or implementing a P3 project or that have established a P3 process. SFAA and NASBP are seeking amendments to S. 1320 to require bonding for these P3s.
