Nullum Tempus Bill Advances in Connecticut

Wednesday, April 2, 2014
Connecticut HB 5570 was amended today and reported favorably by the Joint Committee on Judiciary. SFAA has not seen a copy of the amended bill, but according to reports from those who were at the Committee meeting today, the bill would create a ten-year statute of limitation for the State. This statute of limitation would apply only to construction projects and would be applicable to claims filed after October 1, 2014. Today was the deadline for bills to get out of committee to be considered for enactment in 2014.
