What's New: Public-Private Partnerships (P3s)

Save the Date - November 14 - SFAA & AIA Webinar on P3s

Wednesday, October 16, 2013

SFAA and AIA will be hosting a webinar on Public Private Partnerships (P3s) on Thursday, November 14th, 2013 at 2:00 EST.  As P3s likely will be a key surety issue in the 2014 legislative session, we feel it is important that the industry government affairs staff understand what a PPP is and the public policy benefits of a surety bond requirement for the construction portion of any P3 project.

SFAA has secured very well respected and knowledgeable speakers for this event including, Frank Rapoport a senior partner at Peckar& Abramson. Mr. Rapoport is a leader in the firm’s P3 practice group and he has an extensive background in P3s and has a deep understanding of the legal and political framework for P3projects.

Additional information including registration information and an agenda will be provided soon, but we wanted to notify you of the date and time as soon as possible so that you could plan accordingly. Travel will not be necessary as you will be able to view this webinar from the comfort of your own office. We anticipate that the webinar will last approximately 1.5 hours. The event will be geared to your government affairs folks and the questions and issues regarding P3s that they will have to address in the legislatures, but please feel free to pass the information along to anyone in your company that may have an interest in participating.

If you have any additional questions, please do not hesitate to contact Angela Gleason ( or 202-828-7181), Lenore Marema ( or 202-778-3637), or Joanne Brooks ( or 202-778-3639).
