Development and Diversity

One of the overall goals of SFAA is to "...provide outreach, program development, technical assistance and advocacy for the surety, fidelity and construction industries." Under this mandate, SFAA has undertaken a multi-faceted effort in development and diversity that consists of a Model Contractor Development Program (MCDP) to assist emerging contractors in becoming bondable or to increase their bonding capacity, a set of minority surety professional development activities that include a minority surety and fidelity intern program, organizational outreach to public officials and trade organizations, and technical assistance and program support to state and local jurisdictions in the areas of contractor development and bonding support.
