As previously reported, AIA and
SFAA will be hosting a webinar next Thursday, November 14th, 2013 at 2:00 EST.
Please see below for registration details.
This webinar is geared toward providing
industry government affairs staff with a basic understanding of the P3
arrangement and the public policy benefits of a surety bond requirement for the
construction portion of any P3 project; however, we welcome all those with an
interest in the topic to participate.
SFAA has secured very well
respected and knowledgeable speakers for this event including, Frank Rapoport
and John Parkinson. Frank Rapoport is a senior partner at Peckar &
Abramson where he leads the firm’s P3 practice group. He has an extensive
background in P3s and has a deep understanding of the legal and political
framework for P3projects. John Parkinson is the Executive Director
of the Association for the Improvement of American Infrastructure (AIAI).
AIAI is a newly formed industry non-profit created to shape the direction
of the national P3 marketplace through education and advocacy. SFAA and
some of its individual members have joined AIAI. Most of the large
national contractors and their associations are also AIAI members. We are
very pleased to be joined by two of the thought leaders on the P3 issue.
